Among the many fancy pigeon breeds developed through selective breeding, the Ice Pigeon is admired for its soft, ice-blue plumage and elegant appearance. Its feathers may appear almost white under bright light, with subtle pale-gray markings across the wings and tail. Some varieties have clean legs, while others feature feathered feet, adding to their ornamental appeal.

Ice Pigeons originated in Germany and are recognized as one of the traditional German color pigeon breeds. They are kept primarily for exhibition, breeding, and ornamental purposes. Their calm, domesticated temperament also makes them suitable for experienced pigeon keepers and private lofts. The breed standard describes the Ice Pigeon as a medium-sized bird with a broad chest, smooth head, gently forward-stretched neck, and a distinctive powdery finish to the feathers.

Care and Breeding Notes
