Fantail pigeons are among the oldest and most widely recognized pigeon breeds. Known for their elegant, fan-shaped tails and striking appearance, these exhibition birds differ significantly from wild pigeons and may occasionally have patches of white plumage. Fantails usually reach sexual maturity at approximately six months old. A healthy pair typically lays around two eggs per clutch and may produce up to six clutches annually, with an incubation period of about 18 days.
